Software Developer

The position is primarily responsible for writing custom applications using Microsoft development tools, making program modifications to accounting and business applications supported by Arxis Technology, and for developing interfaces to bridge accounting solutions with other business applications.  Programming work is performed in house as well as at client sites.  Clients are located within the greater Los Angeles area and projects vary in size from several hours to several hundreds of hours.

The following background and skills are required for the position:

• 3 - 5 years of programming experience working with one or more of the following:
• Visual Basic / Visual Basic .Net
• Visual Studio / Visual Studio .Net
• ASP
• MS SQL Server  / Transact SQL
• Microsoft Access
• Crystal Reports
• Previous experience working (either as a user or as a developer) with one or more mid-market accounting or business management solutions (e.g., Sage MAS90, Sage MAS500, Sage Accpac ERP (formerly ACCPAC Advantage), Microsoft Great Plains, Microsoft Solomon, Open Systems Traverse).
• Skilled at logical and physical database design and implementation
• Ability to develop high level work plans
• Capable of producing comprehensive software documentation such as requirements specifications, design documents, and end user documentation.
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Strong client interaction and consultative skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
